The subject is offered to 11^th and 12^th arts students. It started in SNK in 2005, with only one student opting for it. At present there are 10 students from 11^th and 12^th opting for the subject.

Teaching philosophy: - Awareness of not only the dirty politics and corruption that prevails in the country but as a student of Pol Sc honing ones knowledge of  the working of the  government system of ones country. It is theself-centered politician, in need of power, money that has altered our governmentsystem and added reality to the adage “power corrupts power”, and a subject like political Science creates empowerment as it creates awareness and strengthens knowledge.

Teaching strategy: - Teach through group discussion, probing, activities and projects.

Objective:- The study of politics that is the know how of the running of a government system. Encourage educated youth to come forward and take interest in running the government.
