The GalaxyInternationalSchool is the latest unitof SN Kansagra School. It houses in a new campus built on Jamnagar Road and offers aninternational education. It prepares students for the ICSE, IGCSE , AS Level, A Level andthe IB (Diploma) Examinations.
It follows anon-classroom model of schooling. All areas of the campus are the classroomsfor the children. Outdoor trips and outbound programs form a major portion ofthe methodology of the teaching learning philosophy. They are also saved thetyranny of the school bell as transitions from one area to another aredependent upon the completion of the task at hand. The pace of teaching at TheGalaxy International School is matched to the pace of learning of eachindividual student. The small class size of 12 students enables for suchindividualized learning to take place.
Students areadmitted at the age of five and a half years to the Kindergarten where theystudy for a year and are then promoted to class 1.
The curriculum at TGIS are characterizedby a wide rangeof exciting academic, co-curricular and community activitieswhich are aimed at providing the students with opportunities to learn in aholistic way. English, Gujarati, Hindi are the main languages taught. Besides,several students take up French as one of their subjects for study. Apart from thelanguages, mathematics, science and social studies, art, craft, computerskills, dance, drama and music are taught to develop an aesthetic sense as wellas technological understanding in the middle schools.
It also provides acurriculum for the Gifted and Talented and the Slow Learners Program.
The AdvancedLearners' Program is available to TGES students by invitation on this campus.The content of 3 years of study is condensed into two years.
