                                                                       Library @ TGES:

Our Mission: Support school’s curriculum, assist members in becoming effective users of information resources and to foster the love of reading and literature. Maximum utilization of the resources by giving users what they need in order to find out what they want.

Ø   Our primary goal is to instill a joy of reading in our students. We hope that the students’ experience in the library will create a firm foundation for a lifetime of enjoying books.

Ø   We see that our students get acquainted with the library and give them instructions on how to use the library effectively and to their best advantage.

Ø   Our library collection includes over 35,000 varied resources in the form of books, Cd s, cassettes, audios, videos, charts, and other teaching aids in more than a 100 subject categories.

Ø   The library is equipped with its wide-ranging reference collection, including internet access to various websites,

Ø   One of our prized possessions is the collection of classics ranging from’ Homer’ to ‘Charles Dickens’ to ‘Rudyard Kipling’ and so on, available in different levels such as simplified, graded and unabridged editions.

Ø   We have best available resources in vocational guidance section for our senior students to help them prepare for the various competitive exams.

Ø   Another feature is the extensive collection of teachers’ resources which assist in teachers training and at the same time making teachers aware of the global teaching trends, as we in snk embrace the world as one global society. In addition, we have an institutional membership of British council library and International librarian membership of The American library association.

Ø   Our policy is to continuously update our collection with the latest interesting publications and encourage the users to recommend titles for the library.

Ø   We view our library as a resource for students, staff and parents. All TGES parents can obtain a membership and get the maximum benefit of our collection by browsing and using resources in the premises as well as borrowing the resources from the collection offered.
